These sessions are focused on highlighting the significance of enhancing the well-being of dedicated, hardworking staff. We will look at wellness through two lenses. Both are important for us to consider. 

One lens sees personal wellness as your intentional choice of a personal lifestyle. Personal wellness relies on personal responsibility, moderation, and health-enhancing behaviors. 

The other lens sees staff wellness as expectations in the work-place that reflect a program’s policy or culture. All programs should strive to have staff wellness efforts in place that inform and support staff in serving as role models for families and students, as well supporting voluntary behavior changes to enhance personal wellness.

Establish goals utilizing the Specific, Measurable, Action-Based, Realistic, and Time-Based (S.M.A.R.T.) goal framework

  • Improve nutritional choices daily
  • Reduce stress

Research suggests that incorporating SMART Goals in any wellness plan is an effective tool that provides the clarity, focus and motivation to help ensure success, whether you are setting personal goals or program goals. SMART goals work!
